CEO Susan Telli     Susan Telli has been Chief Executive Officer of HospiceCare of Southeast Florida since January 1983. Under her dedicated leadership, HospiceCare has grown to be the largest not-for-profit agency in South Florida providing hospice and palliative care to patients facing end of life decisions.

    Married, with four children and nine grandchildren, Susan has been interested in the quality of life in southeast Florida, not only for her family but for all residents.

         Some of the committees and organizations Susan works with are: Broward County Health Facilities Authority; Broward House – President, Board of Directors; City of Fort Lauderdale Cemeteries Board of Trustees; Hospice Hundred, Inc.; National Hospice Organization; National Association for Home Care/Hospice Association of America; Florida Hospices and Palliative Care, Inc.; United Way of Broward Council of Agency Directors; American Society of Law and Medicine and Ethics. Susan is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Fort Lauderdale, and a graduate of Leadership Broward – Class II, and an active member of Leadership Broward Alumni. She is also the past president Harbordale Elementary and Rogers Middle School Parent's Association, Past Board Member of Beaux Arts and Promenade Chair in 1982.

    Some of the awards that Susan has won are: 1999 Leadership Broward Leader of the Year, Junior League of Fort Lauderdale Sustainer of the Year 1988; WICI Woman of the Year Finalist 1987, 1000+ Club of the American Cancer Society Woman of the Year 1986; Freedom Foundation (Valley Forge) Award 1986 and Outstanding Young Women of America 1981.

    HospiceCare of Broward County was originally established in 1981. Due to the expansion of our facilities to include Dade and Monroe counties in 2001, the name was changed to HospiceCare of Southeast Florida, Inc to incorporate the new geographical area in which it serves.

    Support is provided to their families and significant others regardless of ability to pay in Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe County. Susan has been a driving force to insure that hospice care is available to all patients who wish to spend the remaining days of their life in the comfort of their own home.
