HospiceCare of Southeast Florida, Inc. is conveniently located in Fort
Lauderdale at 309 S.E. 18th Street, (one block west of US1 and one block
south of SE 17th Street). Formerly a residential area, the campus is
comprised of three main buildings, including Bougainvilla (the Villa), an
eight patient hospice residence.
The Broward County location is the hub of the HospiceCare business
operations. In addition, medical staff, social workers, chaplains and
volunteers use the office as their main contact point, when conducting field
work with patients.
The Finance Building is host to the 2003 Florida Hospice and Palliative Care
Award Winner project : H'Artfelt Remembrance. This intricate mosaic tile
mural designed by local artist Kevin Kichar and constructed by HospiceCare
volunteers. Patients, families and visitors alike enjoy the peaceful
setting for meditation.
Tucked in among beautiful Florida flora, patients and families enjoy the
peaceful setting of the Villa. Eligible patients may reside there while
using hospice services, regardless of their ability to pay. Families and
friends are encouraged to visit.
