Did you know that seven out of every ten people die without a Will? When people die without a will there is often unnecessary expense, the laws of the state of your residency specifies distribution of your assets, and the court selects a guardian for any minor children. Most important, a powerful opportunity is missed for the expression of your hopes and dreams for the future. Many people and families utilize a Will to communicate specific wishes – including the support of charitable organizations, like HospiceCare of Southeast Florida, Inc. A charitable bequest can be made in a number of ways, including a fixed amount, specific property, or a percent of the estate. For information on how to include a charitable bequest in your Will, you are invited to call, Paul Keefe, Planned Giving Officer at 954-HOSPICE (467-7423) or email at pkeefe@hospicecareflorida.org.
