Fort Lauderdale, FL…..HospiceCare of Southeast Florida, Inc. celebrated their 25th Anniversary with the Silver Wings Gala, Saturday, September 9th, at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort and Spa in Fort Lauderdale. The $75,000 generated on this evening helps in the expansion of "Bougainvilla", the residential facility in Fort Lauderdale for patients with no place to live and/or no one to care for them.
Presented by Med Ex USA and Vista Heathplans, "Silver Wings" celebrated the care, service, support, and growth of HospiceCare of Southeast Florida, Inc. After enjoying an elegant welcome reception by Silversea Cruises and a champagne toast hosted by Harbor Realty, the Grand Ballroom was opened to guests. Butterflies flowed as you entered the room glistening with candlelight as the shimmer of silver linens filled the room. The decorations and flowers reflected the love and compassion HospiceCare provides to all those who seek it's comfort and support. An inspiring invocation by Monsignor Patrick McDonnell, Board member and pastor of St. Sebastian's Church in Fort Lauderdale, was followed by a delicious entrée, scrumptious dessert, and dancing to the non-stop music of Hot Brass Monkey.
Dr. and Mrs. Harry K. Moon co-chaired this event, with Dr. and Mrs. Roland Molinet and Mr. Jack Jackson and his daughter Mrs. Nicole Allison. All are families who have been involved with HospiceCare of Southeast Florida, Inc for many years, supporting the growth and innovative programs provided to southeast Florida.
Major sponsors included the Sun-Sentinel, Vista Heath Plans, Med Ex USA, Bank of Florida, Silversea Cruise Lines, JR Capital and Investment, Himmarshee Surgical Partners, The Rhodes Insurance Group, Shutts & Bowen LLP, The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, UBS, Harbor Realty, Silvy Lawless-Events by Design, BB & J Linens, Northern Trust, Pavarini Construction, Kraeer-Fairchild, and Southern Wine and Spirits.

The evening was capped with the opportunity of guests to sponsor a child to Camp Coral (a Hospice bereavement camp for children ages 6-13). It was a very touching moment when the guests were asked to support these children arose - the entire room of supporters stood and applauded.
