- We continue to seek underwriting, a donation or in-kind donation to establish a Center for Caring in Miami-Dade. This venture will provide a home for 16 hospice patients with no place to live and/or no one to care for them regardless of age or ability to pay. The site could be land to build on or an already established building that we could retrofit. The site would house a facility to benefit the residents of Miami-Dade and ultimately HospiceCare's office. The location would ideally be in the area of SW 8 Street with easy access to SR 836, the Turnpike and I-95 in Miami-Dade. - Pay off the mortgage for the Forget Me Not Center, our bereavement center offering grief and bereavement counseling, art therapy and pet therapy for adults and children throughout our community. Cost: $500,000
- Replace some of the plumbing at Bougainvilla (The Villa), including the line to the street. Cost: $10,000.
- Purchase Price for 10 lap tops so the staff may begin the transition from paper documentation to real time documentation. COST: $8,000
- Sponsorships for CAMP CORAL, a bereavement camp for children, to be held in Miami Dade. Cost to provide the camp experience for 50 children ages 6 to 13 for the Weekend (Fri thru Sun) $10,000.
- Mulch and flowers for the garden in Broward for the Spring of 2008. Cost, including labor $3,000.
- 125 Nurses Bags: Dual sides (Clean and Dirty) with HospiceCare Logo. COST: $2000
- 3 CD/DVD Player/Recorder for viewing/listening to educational programs for staff in each office. COST: $1500
- Camera: 6.5 megapixel Nikon Digital Camera for the office Cost: $700
